Graphic Design.
When did you do your placement at SO Creative?
22nd August – 16th September 2011.
What did you enjoy about your placement work?
I enjoyed experiencing work in a small agency and the opportunity of being able to work on a variety of projects. I also enjoyed playing a role in both the research and design ideas stages of a project.
Did it help you with deciding which direction you wish your career to take?
I have enjoyed working at SO creative so it has confirmed that I took the right degree and am in the right field of work.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?
In 5 years time I hope to be working at a design agency working on projects that I really enjoy. In 10 years time I hope to be either high up in a design agency or have my own.
What would be your dream job?
I would love to work for IDEO as I’m really interested in human psychology and their human-centered approach to design.
If you won the lottery what would be the first thing you would spend your money on?
I would pay off my university fees and then move to London.

What did you enjoy about your placement work?
Being amongst a commercial creative environment. Seeing projects form from the conceptual stage to the finished product.
Did it help you with deciding which direction you wish your career to take?
Definitely reinforced that I chose the correct industry to go into. However I’m yet to decide a specific direction…
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?
Art directing exciting and revolutionary new projects.
What would be your dream job?
Premiership footballer or worldly renowned designer.
If you won the lottery what would be the first thing you would spend your money on?
Around-the-world ticket, see as much as I can.

Which University do/did you attend?
I’m about to go into my 3rd year at Kingston University.
What will/did you get your degree in?
Graphic design.
When did you do your placement at SO Creative?
I started my placement on the 8 – 19 August 2011.
What did you enjoy about your placement work?
I have enjoyed being a part of a small dynamic team, gaining a better understanding of clients wants and needs and finding ways to answer their brief, and also learning more about how a design company works and functions. I have enjoyed been given live briefs and the potential for my ideas to become reality.
Did it help you with deciding which direction you wish your career to take?
This placement has definitely helped me to decide that I would still like to become a designer in a smaller company rather than a big corporate one, so that I can get more involved.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?
In 5 years I would like to be working somewhere very similar to SO Creative, either as a collective with my course mates, or join an existing company. In 10 years I still want to have the same enthusiasm for design that I have now.
What would be your dream job?
My dream job would be a job that I enjoy doing and that I don’t wake up in the morning and dread going to.
If you won the lottery what would be the first thing you would spend your money on?
I would love to travel, and see more of the world which would inspire me greatly.

What will you get your degree in?
Graphic Design & Marketing.
When did you do your placement at SO Creative?
31 January – 25 February 2011.
What did you enjoy about your placement work?
Working at SO Creative was a great insight to a small but busy design agency. SO Creative were very welcoming, helpful and a lovely team to work with. They were very attentive in making sure I had tasks to do, and made me feel part of the team by involving me with current projects.
Did it help you with deciding which direction you wish your career to take?
Before my work placement I was unsure whether I wanted a career in Design or Marketing, however working at SO Creative help me to establish my strengths and weaknesses and I feel that I want to pursue a career in marketing.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?
In five years I hope to have graduated university with 1st class honors and working within the field of marketing to gain experience and build upon my marketing knowledge. In 10 years, I hope to be a respected professional such as a marketing executive, either within an agency or client based.
What would be your dream job?
Owner of a successful cake company.
If you won the lottery what would be the first thing you would spend your money on?
A round-the-world trip!

What did you enjoy about your placement work?
The atmosphere and the varied amount of jobs I was asked to work on. I especially enjoyed the projects that involved conceptual thinking and coming up with ideas.
Did it help you with deciding which direction you wish your career to take?
I am still very open with what I might do when I finish my degree but it helped me realise my strengths and weaknesses.
What would be your dream job?
To be an Art Director.
If you won the lottery what would be the first thing you would spend your money on?
I would pay off my student loan!
